Prenatal & Mommy and Me Yoga

Prenatal Yoga: Pregnancy is a truly remarkable time in a woman’s life.  It is exciting, challenging and can be confusing as the body changes and the approach to physical activity changes from one trimester to the next.  Practicing yoga offers balance and can help the body feel stronger, more relaxed and rejuvenated.  Whether the goal is to modify a personal practice to safely enjoy yoga during pregnancy or to specifically prepare the body for childbirth, prenatal yoga with Amy provides an experience that will enhance this incredible journey.

Mommy & Me Yoga: When baby is here, life changes in so many amazing ways!  One challenge many moms face is finding time for themselves. Mommy & Me yoga is a way to do something fun and rewarding for baby and mom!  Classes are designed to allow mom a chance to enjoy as much of a yoga practice as possible but are also completely flexible: moms are always welcome to nurse, change diapers or chase the little crawler all over the studio!  Class is ideal for babies 6 weeks to 1 year and, for many, is like a yoga-infused new mom’s group!

Both Prenatal and Mommy & Me classes are held in a private studio in West San Jose.  Amy’s hope for both of these classes is to offer a nurturing environment and to create a community for moms-to-be, new moms and babies.
